Last year LinkedIn described “Usability Expert” as a high demand job title.  LinkedIn and the Bureau of Labor Statistics forecast continued growth in UX jobs through 2030.  Both describe salaries as commensurate with demand, ranging between $77,000 and $103,000.  The purpose of this webinar is to introduce two Usability Experience training courses now available to HFES members at a discount.

The UX Content Collective https://uxcontent.com offers several UX training courses, which are designed to be completed in 8 to 10 weeks.  Their courses include certification tracks for UX Writing, a developing UX specialty.  You can read more about UX Writing here: https://workingincontent.com/resources/what-is-ux-writer and here https://uxplanet.org/2019-ui-and-ux-design-trends-92dfa8323225. Use code HFEUX for a 20% discount on courses.

The UX Design Institute https://www.uxdesigninstitute.com  in association with Glasgow Caledonian University, offers a university-credit diploma course in UX design.  The training is self-paced and typically takes about 6 months to complete.  The course includes coaching in interviewing and resume writing. Link for a discounted rate for the upcoming UX cohort: https://www.uxdesigninstitute....

Students in both courses complete professional portfolios, which can be used to demonstrate job-ready skills to employers.
